Feeling "depressed" with their day jobs, Kenny Lim and Andrew Loh created streetwear label DEPRESSION in 2006, where they started off as a small t-shirt shop. Heavily influenced by punk, street gothic and Chinese elements, DEPRESSION subsequently became known for their genderless and predominantly black collections featuring deconstructed cuts and unusual layering. The label's founders have been featured in Singapore's design museum, judged fashion competitions, and have shown their collections at Berlin Fashion Week and Seoul Fashion Week. The label can be found at Sects Shop, their multi-label concept store, which also stocks other cult streetwear labels from across the globe.
